REWARD CHALLENGE
[Amaya and Makani meet]
Jeff: Welcome guys, this is a Reward Challenge you definitely want to compete in. Let me tell you what your reward is. You will be going to a famous gourmet Brazilian restaurant. Its formal, so you will be getting suits and dresses. You will arrive in a limousine, and when you arrive, you will dine as VIP guests at this special restaurant. You will also each be given a one time use Kodak camera to document this special night.
[Survivors amazed]
And the food is amazing guys, its all you can eat, because you will be using my credit card.
Stellar: Oh Baby!
Jeff: This might be the best reward challenge yet. So, heres how the game works. Its a simple mind game, but might cause you to think a lot. There are 54 squares in front of you. You will start at opposite ends of the square. The goal is to get in the middle before the other tribe gets there.
Sheryl: Seems too easy, there has to be a twist.
Jeff: Youre right Sheryl. As you can see, there is a compass in the middle. Position yourself strategically so that any way of the compass would benefit you. Then, your partner must walk as many squares that way. But heres the catch. For every square, you will be marking it with a mark of the color of your tribe. Once youve landed on that square, you can never go back.
Madison: Ohhhh
Jeff: Also, the maximum number of squares you can go is three, so you cant just walk into the middle. So, this is harder than you think, you may go backwards if you pass the middle, but you cant go somewhere youve already been. Get it?
Troy: I get it
Jeff: Okay. Makani, you have one extra person, someones sitting out
Maggie:[looking at Mac]: Yeah, since Im not in the mood for anything right now [walks to bench]
Jeff: Okay, you can start. Pick your players.
[Troy and Sheryl start]
[Troy makes a 90-degree turn, Sheryl takes a 180-turn]
Jeff: Spin that compass
[Slim spins]
Slim: East.
[Jordan spins West]
Jeff: Okay, make your moves
[Slim moves two squares, Jordan moves three]
Jeff: Next
[Dan spins north, Liyah spins norh]
Jeff: Both north
[Dan walks two spaces, Liyah takes three]
[30 minutes later]
Jeff: The suns just coming out, and youve been here for thirty minutes. Every move you take must be strategic now.
[Madison and Eric both spin the compass.]
Madison: East baby!
Eric: West.
Madison: Well go our separate ways [smiles]
Eric: Bye Baby [Eric takes two steps west, Madison takes two steps east]
Jeff: Youre slowly getting there.
[10 minutes later]
[Jezebel stands four squares south of the middle, Stellar stands six squares east of the middle]
Jeff: Youre down to limited squares. Its all luck now, go ahead and spin the compass
[Sheryl spins north]
Sheryl: NORTH BABY!
[Sheryl runs and takes three steps from Jezebel]
Jeff: Sheryl, youre very close. All you need is one step north and youve won.
[Troy spins south]
Troy: Nope, that aint gonna help [Troy takes one step south]
[Slim and Jordan walk up]
Jeff: youve both got a lot of pressure on you
[Maggie watches from bench, hoping to win]
Slim:[spins compass] cmon north [compass stops]
Madison: WHAT IS IT?
Slim: [with a frown] East. [Slim moves east]
Jordan: Okay [spins south]
Troy: No, that wont help
[Jordan moves one square south]
Jeff: Next.
[Dan and Liyah spin]
Liyah: North [moves one spot]
Dan: I just need a north! [spins]
Sheryl: Cmon baby!
Dan: [jumps up] NORTH BABY!
Sheryl: WHEW!
Dan: Cmon guys [Makani walks with Dan, one spot north together and give a group hug]
Jezebel: WHOO HOO!
Jeff: Congratulations guys, dinner for all of you. Right now, your suits are getting delivered as we speak. When you get back, you can start to get ready
[Maggie smiles. Madison gives Dan a hug]
Jeff: As for you, Amaya, you can head back to camp and think about what youre missing out on.
[Troy smiles]
Troy: Congratulations [To Dan]
Dan: Thanks
